How To Order

1. Register or Login
If you are a new customer, then welcome to Alex Mitchell Butchers.  To order from us and have your fresh Scotch butcher meat delivered,  we require you to register your email address, a password, your name, your address including FULL postcode, and a contact telephone number.  Without this information, we will be unable to process your order and communicate with you regarding it.
Your information will be for the sole use of Alex Mitchell Butchers and will not be passed on to any other party. Please refer to our Privacy Policy.
If you are a returning customer, then simply login using your email and password. You need to log in before adding products to your basket.
2. Ordering from us
You can place and amend your order up to 48 hours before your delivery slot if your delivery address is within our local delivery network, or 72 hours before the delivery slot for national deliveries. If you do wish to modify your order, you can do it yourself by clicking on the 'Edit Order' button when you 'View Order Details' in your 'Order History'. .
Ordering your fresh butcher meat from is quick and easy.  Just follow these simple steps:-
2.1 Browsing our Shop Cabinets
You can click and spin the product carousel in the shop front to browse through our 'Shop Cabinets'. You can also browse using the conventional style cabinet menu on the left hand side of the screen. If you cannot find what you are looking for then you can enter some text in the search box above the cabinet menu to search through our products.
2.2  Add a product to your basket
When you have found the product you are looking for in the cabinet, click on it to have a closer look at the product description and the ordering options. When you move your mouse over the 'packsize' area, the box will be highlighted grey for your convenience. In the 'quantity' box, enter the quantity of the packsize that you wish to order then press the 'enter' button on your keyboard or click "add to basket". You will see that your shopping basket will be updated.
Your shopping basket is where all your ordered products are stored until you go to the checkout. You can view your basket at any time by clicking  "View basket" in "Your Shopping Basket" at the right hand side of the page.  Your basket will show you a detailed description of your order and the cost. Please note that any applicable shipping cost is not displayed when you view the basket. Shipping is only displayed at the checkout stage.
2.3 Amend/delete items from your basket
In your shopping basket you can amend the quantity of any product by inserting the new quantity against the product you wish to change, then click 'Update Cart'.
You can delete the product  by clicking on the delete button for the product you no longer wish to purchase.
You can empty your shopping basket by clicking 'Empty Shopping Cart'.  This will erase all of your order.
2.4 Add all or part of a previous order to your basket
For your convenience and speed, we have provided you an excellent tool, which gives you the ability to add all or part of a previous order into a new shopping basket. So, if you wish to place a repeat order, you can add all the contents into a new basket with a simple click of the button.
After you log on, you can click on 'Order History' to browse through your previous orders. Click on 'View Order Details' to see all the details of your previous order. If you wish to simply repeat the whole order then click on the bar which says 'click here to add the entire contents of this order to your basket'. Or if you wish to select only certain items of that order to a new order then click on 'add to basket' under the product you wish to add.
If there has been a price change since your previous order, the latest price will be shown in your new basket.
3. Checkout
When you have finished ordering, click on  'Checkout' to go to ordering step 2.  You will see a detailed list of your order. and you have a choice of delivery address. If you wish to have your order delivered to the address you registered with us, then click on 'Use this address as my delivery address. If you wish to change the delivery address, click on 'Enter New Address' and submit the alternative address details, including the FULL postcode.  
4. Payment Details
In ordering step 3, choose whether you will be paying by credit / debit card, or by your Christmas Club. Click on the appropriate button, then click 'Continue to Next Step' to move onto ordering step 4 'Confirmation of Order Details'.
You will see the reserved delivery slot that you chose at the start of the ordering process when you logged in.
Click on the box to state that you agree with our terms and conditions, then click on 'Submit Order To Us'.
If you are paying by credit / debit card you will be taken to a secure site to submit your card details. Please note that for your security, are not given your full payment card details. Your payment is processed in a secure site using SecPay.
Once your payment has been processed, you will be taken back to our website for ordering step 5, where you will see a summary of your order including your order number. You will see a printer icon, which you can click to get a printout of your order.
If you have chosen to pay by your Christmas Club, then you will be taken straight to the summary page.
From there you can return to the shop front.
Shortly thereafter, you will receive an order confirmation email from us.
