Information We Collect About You

To be able to order from us we have to collect certain information from you. As part of this, you will need to give your contact information, which is stored in your online account record. We use the information given to us by you to provide the service you request from us in the way that is set out in this privacy policy. You can change your registration details easily through the account facilities available on the website.

User name and password - When you register a customer account on our website, you provide us with an email address, which is used for your username, and you are also required to submit a password. We do not have access to the password you store, but we can overwrite it if required.

Name, address and postcode
- Without this we won't know where to send your order or to whom. We use postcodes to help us find your address, and in some cases to identify whether or when we deliver or offer services in your area.

Age / date of birth
We require date of birth information to confirm that you meet our customers' minimum age requirement of 18 as stated in our Terms and Conditions. We may use this information for marketing purposes, ie to send out special birthday offers etc.

Email address
- we send a confirmation of your orders via email which may include delivery details, order tracking and our customer services details, in case you need to contact us about your order. When you register an online account on our website, your email address is automatically subscribed into our mailing system to allow you to receive any important news or special offers from us. If you wish to unsubscribe, then you can control that directly yourself by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

Telephone numbers
- if there are any problems with your order or we need to check anything, we need to be able to contact you quickly.

Payment card number, expiry date, issue no and name of card holder
when you purchase a product or service we need these details so we can collect payment in the same way as when we take payment in our shop via chip and pin. We use a third party payment gateway to process online payments. We do not store your payment card details on our website or on paper file. Occasionally, if we are required to help you with the payment transaction, we may take your payment details over the telephone and submit them into the payment gateway on your behalf. When you place an order with us, your card is only pre-authorised for the estimated order value, for payment in full to be released at a later date. This means that you do not pay for the goods and / or services until you have received them. As per our pricing policy as detailed in the pricing section of our terms and conditions, your goods may be charged per kilogram, so when we release payment for the actual order value, we as the merchant are authorised to increase the pre-authorised amount by an additional fixed amount. If your final order amount is greater than the initial estimated order value plus the additional amount we can release, then we will release payment for the initial estimated amount, then repeat payment using the same card details. This simply involves us informing the payment gateway that we will repeat the card details for the extra amount. We do not have access to your full card details at any point throughout this process.
