Courier Deliveries
We are delighted that our nationwide courier deliveries are back up and running.
Local Deliveries
We’ve reintroduced free local deliveries in our immediate surrounding community areas using our own vehicles. For the moment, those areas include the KY1, KY2, KY5, KY6, KY7, KY8 & KY15 postcodes. All deliveries meet all necessary environmental health requirements.
When the driver arrives at the customer’s door he or she will ring the doorbell or knock, then stand back for social distancing requirements and wait for the customer to answer the door. As it is perishable food, we cannot leave an order unattended.
You will also find some products are currently missing from our website, for example cooked bakery products, cooked meats and Scotch Lamb. Our online deliveries are currently being prepared in our Production Unit, which is a raw food production premise.
We can, therefore, only send out raw products from there. There are limited chicken products online but the full range is still available in the shop, though, subject to what arrives on the day. We also have Scotch Lamb in the shop. Requests for other chicken and Scotch Lamb products can be added to the comments box when ordering, but there is still no guarantee that we’ll have them on the day.
We do have a selection of our own homemade frozen uncooked bakery such as our pies and sausage rolls. The online images may still show them as cooked, but the description is raw. As you can imagine, in this madness, we’ve been unable to update our photographs. Sorry.
We are delivering locally on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at present to the following postcodes: KY1, KY2, KY5, KY6, KY7, KY8 & KY15. Slots can be booked with 48 hours notice. As I mentioned, delivery is currently free of charge during this crisis.
Self-Collection Slots
These are currently not available.
Keeping our customers and colleagues safe
This is our number one priority.
To help our staff we have split our team into two. This then allows us to serve a maximum of 3 customers in the shop at any one time to keep inline with the 2 metres social distancing rule.
Our front shop floor has been marked with tape so you will know where to stand. Our staff at the shop all wear PPE Face Shields whilst on duty.
It would be helpful, if only one member of your household at a time came into our shop. This helps us keep people safe and reduces queues outside the shop also.
Supporting elderly and vulnerable customers
As a small shop, we are doing our best with our current resources. Unfortunately, we are unable to take telephone orders at present.
Please remember you can help support your family members and neighbours by opening up an online account (name address and postcode) and get an order delivered to their house if it lies in our local delivery area.
Local Community
We have been partnering with Glenrothes Baptist Church, who have been distributing care packages amongst the local community.
We are currently waiting to hear back from Fife Council about how we can support our local community in other ways.
Updates
We will endeavour to keep our website and Facebook page up-to-date with our latest opening hours and any changes to online deliveries.
Messages of support
There have been many encouraging messages of support from our customers.
I would like to thank everybody who has handed in sweets for the staff team, written encouraging comments on our Facebook page, drawn pictures, made telephone calls and written emails of gratitude.
Our staff are all classed as keyworkers and are, as always, dedicated and committed to serving our customers meeting our three core values of quality, convenience and customer service. We are passionate about what we do and integrity is crucial for us, so we will not compromise when it comes to our core values.
Finally, I do apologise for length of this update. I hope you can understand that we are doing our best with ever changing guidelines and daily challenges. These are challenging times indeed for us all.
Best regards, and keep safe.
